What the Workshop includes
This is a weekend sewing retreat where everyone can create their own versions of the Merchant and Mills Sanda jacket.
This is the perfect coat for Spring months in Wales and it’s so versatile! It can be made lined or unlined, long or short and adapted to be fully quilted and reversible! There are so many fabric options, including water resistant quilted dry oil skin, cotton twill or jacquard cotton and reclaimed wool blankets to name a few.
This workshop is for people who have some sewing experience. For those of you a little less experienced you could start with an unlined version for those with a little more experience or who feel confident to jump in with something a bit more involved you could make a lined or quilted / reversible version. I love Merchant and Mills patterns, very easy and clear to follow and their garments are super cool!
I will be in touch with you once you have booked to check which version of the jacket you’d like to make and signpost you towards some beautiful fabrics suitable for your project.
This workshop will take place at the Penquiot centre, situated in beautiful rural Lawrenny, Pembrokeshire and surrounded by trees. Lunch is included in the price and will be provided by Loafley in Tenby. Please get in touch to let me know if you have any Dietary requirements when you’ve booked.
This workshop is limited to 6 people to ensure I have time to support everyone. It will be a wonderful opportunity to carve out some creative time to relax and at the end of it you will have made a very wearable and beautiful jacket that will last you for years.
