Clone your wardrobe workshop

During this 2-day workshop retreat you’ll learn how to make a sewing pattern from a favourite item of clothing without needing to take the item apart. This workshop is for those of you that are confident sewers with a basic understanding of how to follow a pattern. 

Before the course starts Abi will meet with you to look over the garment that you’d like to copy and suggest fabric options and help calculate fabric quantity. 

You will cover the basic principles of pattern cutting and the necessary information you should include on your pattern pieces, including notches and drill holes. You’ll learn the technique of making a copy from your clothes and how to apply it to your particular garment. There will be time to start sewing up your garment during the course but please be aware that you may not all finish it by the end of the second day. The emphasis is to learn the technique so you can apply it to future projects and you will have all the knowledge you need to finish sewing your garments independently.
